The curious incident... My first impression

What's my firts impression about the book?

It was a thrilling start, but after 2 more chapters the story just made a break and went to another topic. It's eazy to read, but sometimes hard to follow, because of the constant back and forth between the main story and some backround stories.
For example, at the end of chapter 11, he wrote: "The policeman took hold of my arm and lifted me onto my feet. I didn't like him touching me like this. And this is when I hit him." After that, the chapter ends and he starts with chapter 13 like. There he says:" This will not be a funny book. I cannot tell jokes because I do not understand them. Here is a joke as an example....."
And then he writes about, why he can't tell jokes.

Do you like reading this kind of books?

Yes, because you get more ideas how the boy in the book felt. You also learn about his backround, family and childhood, which in my opinien, needs to be in every story, so you understand why things are how they are.

Prediction

What are your prospections how the story will end? After 50 Pages, i thought that he will find the murder, who killed Wellingtion and that he will pass the level A math test. But after i passed chapter 157, i started to change my mind. In this chapter, he's reading some letters from his mother, who is still alive. She left with Mr. Shears and moved to london. I can imagine, that Christopher is going to find his mother and live with her. There are some signs. One of them is, that his father lied to him, because he told Christopher that his mother died. An the other is, that he found out, who killed Wellingtion, Mrs. Shears dog. It is Mr. Boone, Christophers father. Because of that, Christopher thinks, that his father could kill him too. These two reasons are the cause, why i think, the story will end like this: "Christopher flees from his father, travels to london to find his mum, and they will end up being a complete family, Christopher his mother and Mr.Shears. Mr.Boone w...

Empathy

What do you like to see changing in the book? I wish, that Christopher would change his behaver. When there is trouble around him, and he is in the middle of it, and does not know what to do, he just says nothing and starts groaning. If he gets touched in these situations, he will just hit this person. Doesn't matter if its a policeofficer or his own father.  Once Christopher had a big fight with his father, both got out of controll and punshed eachother. But it does not end always in a tussle. Sometimes Christopher flees and hides somewhere, where he can't be seen. One time, he got so scared of his father, he left the house at 3AM and went into the shed with his pet(Toby). Even when his father was looking for him, he tried to stay undiscovered.  Normally Christopher is a bold boy, but when he gets scared, he is hiding and preparing his swiss army knife, which is always in his pocket. But if Christopher would change his personality, the hole story would make no sense. ...

Analysis

Name some of the main themes of the book. The main story is about a young boy, who is trying to find the murder of a dog, called Wellington. Besides of that, he talkes a lot about his thoughts ans his background. One story is about, how his mother died because of a heart attacke. And why his father doesn't want to talk about it. But the all the other stories and more about, what he thinks about different stuff. For example on page 105, he explanes why he hates the coulours yellow and brown. The most interesting side story, in my opinion is on chapter 47. For Christopher, there are two main types of a day. One is a good day, and the other a bad one. If they passed 4 red cars in a row with the schoolbus in the morning, it meant that it was Good Day. 3 red cars in a row made it a Quite Good Day and so on. A Black Day for Christopher is, when they pass 4 yellow cars in a row. If you want to know what he does in these situations you can look it up on page 31. Words ~ 195
